Autumn Budget 2024 – What does it mean for your money?

Tuesday 5th November

1pm – 2pm

The Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, will present the first Budget of the new parliament on Wednesday, 30th October.

Budget announcements tend to dominate the news, sparking a wave of headlines and discussions across the country. However, it’s not always easy to understand how the Chancellor’s decisions directly impact your finances.

From tax changes to shifts in public spending, the Budget can have significant implications for your income, savings, and financial planning. In conjunction with Talk Money Week 2024, we are hosting a short webinar to help break down the key points and explain how this Budget could affect you personally.

This event is open to the general public.

As part of Scottish Careers week, our Senior Financial Wellbeing Officer, Rebecca Ketterer-Young, will be hosting a webinar looking at your rights at work, how to calculate your income, what to expect from your payslip, deductions to your pay and provide some information on pensions.

The webinar will last no longer than one hour with time for questions at the end.

It is aimed to provide general information and guidance on the workplace and is open to members of the public who would like to learn more. As a result of all of these, scammers are looking to trick us into giving them our money. Join us to hear the top 12 scams at this time of year and what you can do to avoid them.
