Sector Based Work Academy

East Ayrshire Council’s Economic Development Team is running a Sector Based Work Academy, providing an introduction to Call Centre training.  Successful completion of this 2 ½ day course will lead to a guaranteed interview with a Call Centre located in Kilmarnock.

 

This Call Centre is taking on new employees to join its existing 200 plus workforce.  And with help from East Ayrshire Council’s Economic Development Team, they’re starting their recruitment drive with an information session in Kilmarnock on Thursday 9th January 2014, from 1.30pm – 2.30pm at East Ayrshire Council Offices, Greenholm Street, Kilmarnock (Training Room 1).

 

Following the information session, anyone interested in securing a place on the Sector Based Work Academy Course will be invited to attend interview on Friday 10th January 2014.

 

Successful applicants will progress onto the Sector Based Work Academy where they will cover the basic skills required to work within a Call Centre environment.

 

The Sector Based Work Academy will commence on Monday 20th - Wednesday 22nd January 2014 and cover topics such as telephone techniques, communication skills, confidence building, dealing with difficult customers, selling & negotiations skills and basic keyboarding/IT skills, and preparing for interview.

 

Course times will be from 9.00am-12.00pm & 1.00pm-4pm each day, Monday and Tuesday and 1.00pm-4pm on Wednesday.

On completion of the SBWA applicants will be invited to attend interview/assessment centre on Friday 24th January 2014.
