Project Search

29/11/2013

University Hospital Crosshouse is acting as host business for the latest Project Search programme in Scotland.  This innovative Project provides a forum for ten young people aged between 17 and 24 (who have learning disabilities or autism) to gain valuable work experience within the Hospital environment.  The project also allows the young people to gain SQA units in "Job Seeking Skills", "Work Experience", "Self and Work" and "ICT".  The Project has had a very successful start with the young people already midway into their first work placement, gaining valuable experience in areas such as "Catering", "Portering", "Laundry", "Laboratories" and "Admin".  Personal development and improvements in the interns confidence are already evident.
