The Spark

Sometimes we all need some professional support to work through the challenges and difficulties we face in life. At The Spark, we specialise in couple counselling, marriage counselling, youth counselling and family counselling. Established in 1965, The Spark has been helping individuals, couples, children and families cope with the natural ups and downs of life ranging from relationship problems to anxiety, depression, stress and bereavement. Our counselling centres are based in Kilmarnock, Irvine and Glasgow.

 

All of our counsellors are members of one or more of leading professional bodies in counselling and psychotherapy including Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA), British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), Association for Family Therapy (AFT) or Online Therapy Institute (OTI). Ensuring the highest professional and clinical standards are maintained and offering peace of mind to all of our clients.

 

We provide a range of free to use services aimed at making the best of relationships including:

 

-          The free Relationship Helpline: providing a safe and confidential space in which to discuss relationship problems you are experiencing at home, in work or with family and friends

-          The Relationship MOT: a free, anonymous online relationship health check designed to help you better understand relationship issues

-          Free resources: ranging from advice for new parents and couple going through a rough patch, to advice on issues like sexting, self-harm and online bullying. All available free of charge, 24/7 from our website.

 

The Spark is also a leading provider of school-based counselling services for children and young adults, and a leading provider of training programmes for individuals ranging from introductory courses to advanced qualifications.
