Dionne Kirkwood - Success Story
I first heard about the course from my Advisor at the job centre. Prior to securing a place on the Routes to
Recruitment Course (formerly Transitional Employment) all I knew was Beauty
Therapy and after studying this for 3 and a half years I was looking for a new
challenge but had no idea where to begin.
I have learned new skills such as customer service and general office
duties. On successfully completing an
NPA Award in Administration and an ECDL qualification I was then able to apply
this during my placement within a busy office environment. I have really enjoyed every aspect of both
the course and work placement, the help and continued support I have received
from both my assessor Jacqueline and my colleagues within my placement has been
exceptional. I am continuing to learn
new skills and gaining experience every day and am looking forward to
progressing with this in the future.
I have now been offered a temporary contract within my work placement in
East Ayrshire Councils Health and Social Care section.
