Training & Recruitment Day to bring opportunities for all at Grand Hall

East Ayrshire Council’s Economic Development Team have a growing reputation for working in partnership with local agencies and businesses to create jobs and provide training for people of all ages. And now they’re organising, in partnership with Ayrshire College, Skills Development Scotland, Ayrshire Chamber and Department of Work and Pensions a Training and Recruitment event on 12 September at the Grand Hall, Kilmarnock to showcase the opportunities available within many different organisations in the area.

Running from 10.30am until 12.30pm, the event will feature stalls from many local training providers and employers such as Hyspec, Police Scotland, Portfolio Recovery Associates, Stagecoach, East Ayrshire Council, Quarriers, the Army and many others. Open to jobseekers of all ages, it also includes details about recruitment incentives to help employers take on people aged between 16 and 29.

The event is a drop in session, with employers on hand to answer questions and provide information and application forms for jobs. For those thinking about undertaking qualifications while they work Yipworld, Trustcare, Scotgrad, The Princes Trust, Volunteer Centre, Ayrshire College and the Council’s own Economic Development team will be on hand with information about studying at all levels from Modern Apprenticeships with  SVQs to graduate placements as well as accredited short courses linked to local job opportunities.
